A Monstrosity in the Meadow — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide

A Monstrosity in the Meadow is the thirteenth of the fifteen main quests in the campaign, set in Singer's Meadow at level 33. The mission builds to a confrontation with the Sculk Monstrosity, a named arena boss, and it is also the quest that unlocks Lost Harmonies — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide, Wrath of the Sculkers — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide, and The Sculk Monstrosity Revived — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide. If you are chasing the sculk storyline, this is the centerpiece.
Objectives walkthrough
The quest lists six objectives:
- Reach the musical gate — make your way to the gated structure in Singer's Meadow.
- Find the pass to Humbler Huskland — scout the route onward toward the next region.
- Investigate the gate — interact with the gate to figure out how it works.
- Return to the illager gate — head back to the illagers' fortification.
- Pass the illager gate — get through the illagers' defenses.
- Defeat the Sculk Monstrosity — an arena fight against the quest's boss.
Boss encounter
The Sculk Monstrosity waits at the end of the quest in a dedicated arena fight. As main quest number 13, this is late-campaign content, so expect a demanding encounter — bring a build with solid damage output and mobility, and clear the area's regular enemies before the arena triggers if you want a cleaner fight. (The source page gives no further detail on the boss's attack patterns, so keep your distance and watch for arena adds.)
Rewards
A first completion grants the Sculker Claws. Repeat runs drop the Realmreacher set — Realmreacher Boots, Realmreacher Robe, Realmreacher Hat, and Realmreacher Leggings — and also roll a drop from the area's loot pool. Finishing first unlocks Lost Harmonies — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide, and the quest additionally unlocks Wrath of the Sculkers — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide and The Sculk Monstrosity Revived — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide.
Tips
- This quest unlocks three separate follow-ups, so completing it early opens up a lot of late-game content at once.
- The Realmreacher set only comes from repeat runs — if you want the full set, plan on farming this quest.
- The pass to Humbler Huskland found during this quest connects naturally to the sculk errands there, like A Dip in Ichor Springs — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide.
