Hiking Frozen Highlands — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide

Hiking Frozen Highlands is the tenth of the fifteen main quests, set around the Frozen Fortress at level 26. It is the longest quest in the set documented so far — thirty-one objectives — beginning with aid work for the survivors of Frostrime Village and ending with an arena fight against the Prime Enchanter — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide inside the fortress. Completing it unlocks a huge batch of follow-ups: Returning the Note Blocks, Gone Fishing — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide, Illager Intelligence — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide, The Fight at the End of the Tunnel, the Freezing Golem, and The Prime Enchanter Revived — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide.
Objectives walkthrough
The quest unfolds in four beats. First, aid the survivors: return to the Woodcutter's Outpost, speak to the Frozen Highlands Villager, reach Frostrime Village, and search for survivors. Next, salvage two shipwrecks for materials — the big shipwreck, then the small shipwreck — fighting off an illager arena ambush along the way, before returning to the Villager and meeting the survivors at the fortress. Then comes the fortress itself: find the hidden entrance, navigate the fortress halls, cross the bridge, and keep pushing until you find the fortress entrance in a cutscene. The climax follows: defeat the Prime Enchanter — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide in an arena fight, search for the note block, collect it (with a cutscene), find the fortress entrance again, open the fortress doors, and unlock them — first by interacting, then in a final cutscene.
Boss encounter
The Prime Enchanter — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide is the boss of this quest, fought in an arena within the fortress. As a level 26 main quest near the end of the campaign's middle stretch, expect a demanding fight — clear the arena's adds, keep moving to dodge enchanted attacks, and save your strongest artifacts for the final stretch.
Rewards
Repeat runs drop the Mob Mallet and also roll a drop from the area's loot pool. Finishing first ties into Wading Rainy Plains, and the quest unlocks the six follow-ups listed above.
Tips
- With 31 objectives, this is a long run — do not start it when you are short on time.
- The note block collectible ties into Returning the Note Blocks, so grab it while you are here.
- The Mob Mallet only comes from repeat runs, making this a farming target after the story is done.
