The Missing Note Blocks — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide
The Missing Note Blocks is the eighth of fifteen main quests in Minecraft Dungeons II, a level 6 mission rooted in Howling Woods. It is a quieter entry in the campaign: most of its twelve objectives are errands that send you back and forth between Brave Haven and the woods to check in with the Cartographer and the Blacksmith. With a single combat set piece in the middle, treat this one as a story chapter that sets up what comes next rather than a gear check.
The quest opens with a trip back to Brave Haven, where you track down the Cartographer. From there the trail leads to the Blacksmith: catch up with them, talk, leave, and return to talk again — objectives three through six form a short loop of finding and speaking with the Blacksmith. The pace breaks at objective seven, Defend the woodcutters, an arena fight in which you hold off attackers threatening the loggers. After the fight you report to the Blacksmith twice more, then return to Brave Haven to find the Blacksmith's stall and speak with them one final time.
Defend the woodcutters is the only combat objective, and the quest data names no boss for this mission — just the arena defense.
First completion awards the full Phantom armor set: the Phantom Chestplate, Phantom Helmet, Phantom Boots, and Phantom Pants. Repeat runs can drop the Fist of Iron and the Twig of Dark Oak, with an additional roll from the area's loot pool. The quest data lists Down into the Deep Dark — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide under "finish first" and Wading Rainy Plains, Sneezing Golem, and Trembling Golem as unlocks.
Follow the objective marker and you will finish quickly — nine of the twelve objectives are simple go-to or interact steps. The arena fight is the only point where you need a combat-ready build, so bring your usual clearing setup and focus the attackers around the woodcutters. Repeat the quest if you are hunting the Fist of Iron or the Twig of Dark Oak.
The quest data points to Down into the Deep Dark — Minecraft Dungeons II Quest Guide as the next main mission, with Wading Rainy Plains among the quests this one unlocks; both the opening and closing errands run through Brave Haven.
