Chained

Chained is a negative status that locks the victim in place. While it is active, movement is completely disabled, and the effect can spread to multiple targets within range, chaining crowd control across a whole group.
The only documented source is the Shackler gear effect. A long list of mobs is immune: the Enderman and its soul-corrupted variant, Prime Enchanter — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, the Twisted Warden — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, the Copper Monstrosity — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, Mosstrosity — Minecraft Dungeons II Final Boss Guide, the Redstone Monstrosity — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, the Sculk Monstrosity, Monarch — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, Monarch's Echo — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, Monstrous Opus, the Supreme Evoker — Minecraft Dungeons II Boss Guide, the Warden and its soul-corrupted twin, the Dartback and its soul-corrupted variant, and the Soul Corrupted Witch — 17 mobs in total, including every major boss.
Tactically, Chained is one of the strongest crowd-control tools against regular mobs, since its spread means one application can immobilize an entire pack — but it is nearly useless against bosses, as almost all of them are immune. Compare it with Vined, which also fully disables movement but is not documented as spreading, and Webbed, which only slows movement while blocking rolling and jumping. Use Chained to pin down dangerous groups, then clear them with area damage while they cannot close the distance.
