The Dauntless Pauldrons are the chestpiece of the Dauntless set, a unique variant of the regular Bounty Hunter Chestplate. True to their flavor text — made for the warrior unafraid to face a hail of arrows — they grant Projectile Protection, cutting all ranged damage taken by 25%. Since every armor piece shares the same base health, this effect is the Pauldrons' entire identity: a heavy, tank-archetype torso built to shrug off projectiles.

Ranged damage is one of the most punishing threat types in harder content. Skeleton archers, evoker fangs launched from afar, and boss projectile barrages all chip away at melee builds that cannot easily dodge at range, and a flat 25% reduction noticeably stretches your effective health against them. The Pauldrons therefore fit any frontline or melee-heavy build that struggles against arrow fire — charge in, and let the arrows break on your shoulders.

The piece holds no tier-list ranking yet, so consider it a defensive utility pick rather than a proven meta staple: the reduction is real and meaningful, but no launch-tested build centers on it.

It drops as the unique roll of the Bounty Hunter Chestplate, meaning any Bounty Hunter Chestplate drop can come out as the Pauldrons. Farm Brave Haven, Honeycomb Fields, and Ravines for your best shot. Pair them with Dauntless Horns, Dauntless Greaves, and Dauntless Sabatons to complete the Dauntless set.
