Monstrosity Greaves

The Monstrosity Greaves are the leggings of the Monstrosity set, the unique variant of the regular Redstone armor in Minecraft Dungeons II. Like all armor pieces they share the same base health pool — the reason to equip them is the unique effect. Built as heavy, monstrous greaves, they are straightforward defensive gear for element-heavy fights.

Their effect, Elemental Protection, reduces damage taken from elemental attacks by 25%. Fire, ice, lightning and other elemental sources all hit a quarter softer, which matters in encounters where mobs or bosses lean on elemental damage to break through your defenses. Tank-oriented players who hold the front line through waves of elemental attackers benefit the most, since the reduction applies passively with no conditions.

The Monstrosity set favors mage and tank archetypes at heavy weight, and the Greaves fit that identity: passive, dependable protection rather than flashy offense. Combined with Monstrosity Armor, which heals you on every artifact activation, Monstrosity Horns, which amplify fire damage, and Monstrosity Stompers, which supercharge melee crits, the full set forms a heavy bruiser package.

The Monstrosity Greaves drop as the unique roll of the Redstone Shinguards — any Redstone Shinguards drop can roll into this variant. They drop in The Deep Dark and Lullaby Hills, and can also show up as a quest reward.
