Monstrosity Stompers

The Monstrosity Stompers are the boots of the Monstrosity set, the unique variant of the regular Redstone armor in Minecraft Dungeons II — and they are the standout piece of all twelve. Like every armor piece they share the same base health, but these boots carry an S-tier endgame rating thanks to one of the strongest offensive effects on any armor piece.

Their effect, Strength, makes critical hits with melee weapons deal 45% more damage. For crit-focused melee builds that can stack critical chance, that bonus applies on nearly every hit and multiplies into enormous numbers. Endgame creators have built entire loadouts around these boots: they appear in five established builds, including Awesomeaxe crit with Warding Chimes and the Awesomeaxe one-shot full-health burst setups, as well as a Lightning katana crit Pride of the Plains build and both the Spectral Spear double soul wave and Sculker's Bane Lightning Surge dagger builds.

The tradeoff is that the effect needs a critical hit to fire, so you must bring a crit source — through enchantments, weapons or buffs — to make the Stompers pay off. They sit in a heavy mage-and-tank set alongside Monstrosity Horns, Monstrosity Armor and Monstrosity Greaves, so melee bruisers have a natural home for them.

The Monstrosity Stompers drop as the unique roll of the Redstone Boots. They drop in The Deep Dark and Lullaby Hills, and can also appear as a quest reward.
