1 Year Anniversary

The 1 Year Anniversary (March 5, 2026) celebrated one year of Bongo Cat and 5.8 million players who had downloaded and tried the game, with new achievements as the headline gift.
Event details
To mark the milestone, the developer put a community vote to players on whether to add more achievements: 80% voted in favor, so a batch of new achievements was released for the anniversary. Not all achievements grant cosmetics, but the new tap-amount ones do, with brand-new skins and hats created by Flores. New items could take some time to appear in inventories due to Steam API failures at the time. The announcement also looked ahead to the year: plans included a Steam Point Shop, an April Fools event, and a collection update, plus more in-game community polls to involve players in development decisions.
