The Passive Build Layer

Talents are the passive layer of CONTROL Resonant builds. Where abilities give Dylan his active combat options and the Aberrant supplies the melee kit, talents shape everything underneath: passive modifiers to damage, dodge timing, Power recovery, falter output, and synergy nodes that tie the rest of the loadout together.

No talent names or effects are published here yet. Exact talent records are held until the released game or official material confirms them, so this page serves as the build-synergy hub the talent database will grow into.

What a Talent Record Will Contain

Each talent entry will record three things:

  • Effect — the exact passive modifier, using official wording once it is known
  • Unlock — how the talent is obtained, recorded only after source-backed confirmation
  • Synergy — which abilities, Aberrant forms, artifacts, and builds it works with, linked to their records

Records follow a strict verification boundary: list effects only after the released game or an official source supports them, and publish tested build notes only after players can check them in the released game. No speculative talent names appear on this page.

Using Talents in Builds

Talents plug into every build shell. A Hammer Stagger shell pairs falter and posture-break talents with the hammer form, while a Dual Blades Pressure shell leans on talents that improve dodge consistency and Power recovery. See Build Guide: Framework & Loadout Shells for the full build framework, and Best Talents: Which Upgrades to Pick First for tested talent picks once launch testing begins.

For the artifact side of the same loadout, see Artifacts: Effects, Locations & Builds. For how talents interact with weapon forms, see The Aberrant: Dylan's Shapeshifting Melee Weapon.
