Tuning Combat Pressure
Assist Mode lets players adjust combat pressure without leaving the core Dylan Faden and Aberrant combat loop. It covers enemy pressure, dodge timing, damage, falter, projectile speed, and Power recovery.
Importantly, Assist Mode is not only a lower-difficulty switch. The confirmed settings can support easier, stricter, or more customized combat depending on how they are tuned.
Confirmed Settings
| Setting | What It Changes |
|---|---|
| Enemy Aggression | How much pressure enemies apply during combat |
| Perfect Dodge Window | The timing window for a Perfect Dodge |
| Incoming Damage | How much damage Dylan takes |
| Outgoing Damage | How much damage Dylan deals |
| Outgoing Falter | Dylan's falter and stagger output against enemies |
| Projectile Speed | How quickly enemy projectiles travel |
| Power Recovery | How quickly Power returns for ability use |
Trophies and Achievements
Official Assist Mode material states that these settings do not lock trophies or achievements. Until launch, that remains the safe answer: do not add hidden trophy conditions, difficulty-only trophies, or assumed default slider values unless official or release-build evidence supports them.
Verification Boundary
Exact slider values, defaults, ranges, and presets are unverified — they should not be published until official UI or release-build checks confirm them. Use the public setting names above, then verify the final in-game wording at launch. Do not label any preset as the best setup before release-build testing. Build advice that mentions Assist Mode should wait until ability values, boss behavior, and artifact effects are verified.
Next Steps
Use the settings table for the confirmed accessibility options, treat exact numbers and final UI labels as launch-week verification items, and check PC Keybindings & Controls for the default controls or Beginner's Guide: Tips Before You Start for orientation before your first run.
