Overview
Lunka is Coen's sister. He remembers her as a toddler; now she has grown sharp and perceptive, always figuring out how to have her way — but she is still a child, chasing after every passing whim.
That mix of cleverness and childishness worries Coen deeply. Lunka cannot yet tell good from evil, or safety from peril. Coen has had to parent her more than their mother or father, without the faintest idea how to do it — and while he hates hovering over her every step, he refuses to let her go the way of Alin.
