Four attack angles exist: left, right, upwards, downwards — and every attack costs Stamina. Press the attack button for an Omniattack, whose direction is chosen at random, or aim manually: pick a direction with the stick, then press to strike that way.
Enemies have a chance to block your attacks, and that chance grows if you keep striking from the same direction — vary your angles.
