Accident Report

Anton of Parlita, a nineteen-year-old soldier helping load crates, watched a snake-like figurine tumble from a dropped crate while the workers looked away; he grew dizzy on the spot and fell, hurting his head.

The next morning he shook uncontrollably, spoke of dreaming of a world-devouring monster, and when ordered back to duty shouted he would rather eat his own filth than return. The report breaks off there.
