Campana Loquitur, vel Introductio pro Novitiis
Even as sunflowers track the sun, novices shall heed the chimes: master the tongue it speaks and never be perplexed.
Three tolls means repair to the chapel; the hour of prayer and hymn has come; four tolls means hasten to the infirmary, where the ailing need care and tending; five tolls means go to the dormitory, for the hour of repose has come.
The novices serve the Almighty, who addresses you through the prioress, who speaks through the bell — so heed its calls unceasingly, in daylight or dark, in rain or shine.
