Herbalist's Journal

This journal follows an herbalist's search for the legendary razkovniche. The plant they found looks nothing like the legends — far more predatory — but a snake and then a young hedgehog both led the writer straight to it, which they take as confirmation of its identity.

The specimen was dying despite good light and rich, wet soil, and the writer managed to rescue just one seed. What grew from it does not open doors, disproving one legend — but when the writer fell ill and did not, they declared it a true panacea, a remedy for all illness, which they hope may answer the rumours of plague.
