Rimefrost Plodders

The Rimefrost Plodders are the boots of the Rimefrost set in Minecraft Dungeons II, the unique variant of the Steel Wool armor family. They are medium-weight boots tuned for the Mage + Tank archetype, with flavor text calling them snow-plodding boots for the warrior who never gets cold feet.
Tainted effect
The Plodders carry the unique effect Tainted: the duration of negative status effects on enemies is increased by 100%, effectively doubling how long debuffs like burning, chilling, or poison last on your targets. Status builds live and die by uptime, so doubling every debuff's duration is a major multiplier for any loadout that leans on damage-over-time or crowd-hampering effects. As with all armor in Dungeons II, every piece shares the same base health, so this status-duration boost is the Plodders' entire identity.
Builds and playstyle
Tainted suits status-focused and hybrid mage builds — anything applying negative statuses through weapons, enchantments, or artifacts gets twice the value from each application. Doubling debuff duration also stretches out effects that slow or weaken enemies, giving tankier playstyles more breathing room. The boots have not yet been ranked on the tier list, so their competitive standing is still open. They combine well with the other Rimefrost pieces — Rimefrost Icecap, Rimefrost Longjohns, and Rimefrost Armor — for a full set built around frost and debuff synergy.
How to get them
Rimefrost Plodders drop as the unique roll of the Steel Wool Boots — any Steel Wool Boots drop can come out as this unique piece instead. They are region drops found in the Frozen Highlands and Humbler Huskland, so farming those regions (or their minecart stations) is the way to hunt them. Anyone already wearing the regular Steel Wool Boots can treat the Plodders as the status-build upgrade.
