Piercing

Piercing is an offensive enchantment for ranged weapons that lets your arrows and projectiles fly straight through enemies instead of stopping at the first target. Once applied, each shot can pass through a set number of mobs, so lining up enemies multiplies the value of every arrow you fire. It is not ranked on the enchantment tier list yet.

The number of targets it can pierce grows with each tier. Tier I punches through 1 enemy, Tier II through 3, and Tier III through 5. A Unique-tier version pushes this all the way to 10 enemies, making it devastating in packed corridors and during ambushes.

It fits best in arrow-heavy setups. The Unlimited-arrow archer build is the standout example, pairing endless ammunition with multi-target penetration to clear crowds without aiming at each mob individually. Bows that already fire extra projectiles benefit the most, since every arrow in the volley pierces.

Unlike most books, Piercing is earned as a quest reward: complete Training with the Enchantsmith in Howling Woods for the first time to claim it. Apply and upgrade the book at the Enchantsmith in Wading Rainy Plains for 3, 5, and 7 enchantment points plus one Echo Shard per tier — 15 points and 3 shards to fully max it. If you want your shots to redirect instead of pass through, compare Ricochet; Chain Reaction Enchantment and Thundering Enchantment offer other ways to multiply ranged damage. Disenchanting is free and refunds the points, but not the shards.
