Steam Awards 2025 Nomination

The Steam Awards 2025 nomination campaign was a community call posted by the Bongo Cat developers in late November 2025. After a year that saw the game reach millions of players, the team asked the community to nominate Bongo Cat for the Steam Awards in the Sit Back and Relax category, celebrating the game as the cozy companion that had guided so many through their day.

What happened

The announcement asked players to cast a nomination vote for Bongo Cat in the Sit Back and Relax category of the Steam Awards. The post framed the nomination as a way to celebrate everything the year had brought: cats with sunglasses, a zombie with a tiny cowboy hat, squirrels with ice cream cones, and strawberries with top hats — the endless parade of cozy little typing creatures that had made the year memorable for the community.

For players

Nominating took a moment on the Steam store during the nomination window, and every nomination counted. The post received an enthusiastic response from the community, reflecting just how many players had made the little bongo cat a daily part of their routine.
