Rare

Rare is the third rarity tier in Bongo Cat, dropping from chests at a 0.49% rate. Rare cosmetics appear in blue (#4d9de0), sort at order 3, and are the first tier whose items carry real market weight.

How to obtain

Open chests - roughly one every 30 minutes after 1,000 bongo beats of keyboard, mouse or controller input - and hope for the 0.49% roll, or skip the luck and exchange 10 Uncommon items through the 10:1 chain.

Gameplay notes

Rare items hold meaningful Steam Community Market value, usually $1.00-$5.00, and collectors actively seek them out. They also serve as the exchange input for Epic items, a natural stepping stone up the rarity ladder.
