Is CONTROL Resonant on PC?
Yes — PC was a day-one platform, out now since September 24, 2026, with Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW all live. The NVIDIA RTX 50 bundle was the launch-window free-copy route (the purchase window closed September 29; already-issued codes are still redeemable — see NVIDIA RTX 50 Bundle Redemption).
What Do You Need to Run It Well?
Three things stand out about the requirements:
- The GPU bar is low for a 2026 release — coverage described the specs as modest.
- RAM is flat at 16 GB on both tiers — there's no memory upgrade cliff between minimum and recommended.
- The install is SSD-only with a large footprint — outlets flagged an unusually big download, so clear disk space before launch night.
Quick spec table (recommended GPU uses the newer listing — see System Requirements: Official PC Specs for the revision note):
| Spec | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | i5-8500 class | Ryzen 7 3700X class |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT (6 GB) | RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT (8 GB) |
| Storage | SSD required | SSD required |

What About Windows Version and Other Platforms?
Steam lists Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit only. Remedy's FAQ confirmed Steam Deck support at launch — it shipped with the release build. On the cloud side, GeForce NOW streams the game alongside Steam and Epic, following Alan Wake 2's availability there.
The post-launch patch train is active on PC: update 1.4.0 fixed over-saturated HDR highlights in the AgX tonemapper — a PC-graphics-specific fix — alongside a combat rebalance and New Game++ (see Patch Notes — Every Update and New Game Plus & New Game++: Carryover Explained).
Where Does the PC Version Launch First?
It didn't — PC shared the same September 24, 2026 date as every platform. The release date page has the full timeline, and the PS5 edition page covers the console comparison.
