Walkthrough step-by-step

Meet Zoe at Executive Research in the Oldest House

Deep underground, Dylan has had a vision of a Dimensional Fault inside the Oldest House. He asked Zoe to meet him at the entrance to the Prime Candidate training grounds — and he is not sure he can manage this on his own.

Travel back to the Oldest House to meet her: ride the elevator in the lobby, above where Pope normally stands, to get back inside. In the large room after the elevator, a large group of Hiss attacks — take them all down. Then take the elevator on the south lower floor toward Executive Research. Continue through and speak with Zoe at the Prime Candidate Testing door.

Locate the Fault

Follow the path forward. In the room with the video, head to the Main Observation door and interact with Zoe so she opens it for you.

Reach the Oldest House Fault

Important: The Underpass Fault Walkthrough (Jesse Sightings) must already be finished — it is required to progress this mission. Speak with Zoe and keep going; first pass through the door to the Classrooms. In the next main room, you need to move Charges around to power up the area: on the east side, grab the Charge from the power core and carry it up to the south side, charging the core that opens the door.

Inside, hit one of the cores and the room seals shut with you locked inside. To get out, look at the white screens on the sides — they show a pattern you must replicate using the wall cores. Activating the wall cores in the correct pattern advances the screens to the next pattern; you must solve 3 patterns in total to open the door:

  • Pattern 1: take the Charges from the side of the room and activate the wall cores in an inverted triangle — top left, top right, middle bottom.
  • Pattern 2: rearrange the charges into a square — one in each of the 4 corners.
  • Pattern 3: a cross shape — the entire middle row, plus middle top and middle bottom.

Once the door unlocks, carry two charges back to the room where Zoe is now standing to power up the area. With the power on, go through the High Risk Chamber door on the room's west side — on the way, grab the Power Upgrade crate in the room just beside the unmarked room. In the large room, speak with Zoe at the door labeled Director Training.

The next room holds another Hiss attack — defeat them all. Then take the north door into the Main Test Chamber; step inside and interact with the TV to enter the Fault.

Complete the Ritual

Follow the platforming path until you reach Jesse. After speaking with her, turn right and interact with the TV to move forward. Continue along the platforming route — some surfaces crumble when you approach, revealing new paths. When you reach Jesse, interact with her to complete the mission.
