The Hiss and the Patterning are not the only problems in Manhattan. In Zoe's Briefing, Zoe wants to bring Dylan up to speed on what else is going on across the city. It is a short quest, but an important one: finishing it automatically starts New Growth, which opens the entire Underhill storyline in The Park, and speaking with Zoe during this mission also triggers Maintenance Protocol.
How to Start
The quest unlocks after completing Main Quest: The Hedron Link. Once available, travel to the Watchtower in Central — the briefing takes place in Zoe's office area, where Dylan first picked up quests from her. The single objective is simply to talk to Zoe in the Watchtower.

1. Talk to Zoe in the Watchtower
Go to the Watchtower in Central and speak with Zoe. She lays out the broader situation in Manhattan — the threats beyond the Hiss and the Patterning that Dylan will need to deal with. The conversation completes the quest. While in the area, keep an eye out: a Power Upgrade chest is noted near Zoe after returning from The Unknown, making this a good moment to grab it.
Rewards
Zoe's Briefing itself grants no direct reward. Its real value is what it unlocks:
- New Growth — starts automatically on completion, opening the Dr. Raya Underhill quest chain in The Park.
- Maintenance Protocol — triggered by speaking with Zoe during this mission, sending Dylan to the Oldest House's lowest sections in the Underpass.
