Carbon Copy is a three-part side quest that continues The Park's Mold storyline after New Growth. A woman named Heidi is looking for her twin sister Hannah and cannot reach her — and Hannah's trail leads through an empty apartment, a hospital file, and a factory overrun with Mold. All three parts, together with New Growth, are required for the Budding Mycologist trophy ("Deal with the major Mold Incidents in Manhattan").

How to Start

Find Heidi inside the construction site northwest of the FBC Base in The Park — a Mold-infested building west of the base, also marked on the map as the northern construction tower asking about "New Mold strains?" Speaking with her starts the quest: she hands over Heidi's old apartment key so Dylan can check on Hannah.

Part I — Hannah's Apartment

Travel south across The Park to Hannah's apartment. Rooftop travel avoids most of the Mold on the way — landmarks along the route include the large Rooftop sign mid-zone and the southernmost building with a yellow-lit couch. Clear the Molded enemies waiting on the apartment roof, go through the double doors, and descend to the lowest level, where Heidi's key unlocks the apartment. Speak with Hannah inside, then head back north and report to Heidi.

  • Reward: Untapped Mother's Locket artifact.
  • Key items: Heidi's Old Apartment Key, Letter To Hannah.

Part II — The Field Hospital

Part II begins automatically once Part I is finished (it is also described as triggering after Act 1, when Dr. Florez contacts Dylan at the FBC Field Office in Central). Hannah has gone missing, and the investigation moves to the Field Hospital. Work through the case files there to learn what happened to her.

  • Key items: Notes On Pattern Victims, Medical Report: Hannah Garrett, Note From Heidi.

Part III — The Park Factory

Part III begins the moment Part II ends. Follow the Hannah copies to the Park Factory (using the Park Factory Key) — the trail ends in a boss fight against Mold Hannah inside the mold-overrun factory. Bring anti-Mold tools for this one; the fight is the payoff of the whole three-part chain.

  • Reward: Untapped Medical Alert Bands.

Rewards

Across the three parts, the quest grants the Untapped Mother's Locket (Part I) and the Untapped Medical Alert Bands (Part III). Finishing Carbon Copy Part I, Part II, and Part III together with New Growth unlocks the Budding Mycologist trophy/achievement. As with every side quest, nothing here is missable — any part left unfinished can be completed in post-story free-roam.
