Overview
A nobleman, Iulian numbers among the rare few Brencis spared. He swore fealty and became a vassal of Boyar Ambrus, thereby preserving his rank and holdings.
Even so, Iulian longs for the boyar's death. He knows that — though Brencis officially forbids feeding straight from humans — Ambrus gorges on his subjects at his own pleasure. Iulian means to turn that habit against him, murdering his master by tainting the lifeblood of the vrakhir's next victim.
