Blood-Soaked Journal

Father Florin spoke truly, the writer notes: the party found a cave holding St. Mihai's forgotten sanctuary, and took something there that might serve the Father's plan.

They had little leisure to search — something else was in the cave, and an odd chittering sound with movement in the shadows sent the brave party quickly to a forest camp, since travelling at night was unwise.

Hoping for provisions in Laslea, they instead saw the village burning in the distance, its people with far bigger problems than aiding strangers; they would set out at dawn with what they had. The journal breaks off there.
