Catnica's Journal

Catnica's journal follows a local witch's determined pursuit of immortality. She writes repeatedly to Boyar Bakir and reaches out to the other vrakhiri, then turns to nightly rituals, kindling candles and whispering their names in hopes of being heard.

Her persistence pays off: Bakir appears, impressed that she dared to claw at his thoughts, and rewards her with the seed of immortality held within his own tooth, which she swallows. The final entry finds her laughing through the burning pain in her chest, certain the suffering will prove worth it.
