Chronicle: Skender's Last Days

This chronicle recounts the aftermath of Knyaz Skender's downfall. Brencis and his future boyars marched on Greifberg Castle without resistance — its defenders hated Skender as much as Brencis did — only to find the keep already plundered, its treasures packed onto wagons and fled toward the mountains.

Brencis sent Boyar Ambrus in pursuit, and the thieves were caught at the Northern Cleft bridge. Ambrus promised them freedom if they abandoned the loot, but blinded by greed they drove the heavy carts onto the weathered bridge instead. It collapsed beneath them, and thieves, horses and wagons plunged into the abyss; their screams echoed for hours before falling silent.

Skender's lavish, tainted riches were never found again.
