From Life of St. Teotim

Born to rich merchant stock, Teotim once lived amid luxury and earthly pleasure — until a family tragedy drove him to find comfort in seclusion and God. He gave up his estates and retreated into the Gorgany highlands, raising a humble hermitage of moss and rock,

There he welcomed weary travellers and baptised them beneath a nearby waterfall. Legend holds that at his passing the holy waters fell silent for a day, then louder — as if mourning him.
