From Life of St. Mihai

Saint Mihai was once a pagan warrior, fierce in battle against the Devil's spawn, until Providence led him to the true Faith under the monk Tobias's guidance. Amid the Maragir marshes he died slaying a monstrous foe at the price of his own life.

Tobias brought the body home to Svartrau, where the populace grieved and paid him honour — and Mihai was anointed, becoming the patron of Svartrau Cathedral.
