Proclamation of Treason

This chilling announcement declares that Widow Zlatna — formerly of that house —

the widow was tried and convicted of high treason toward the knyaz — for her steadfast old faith;

plotting to stir unrest across the valley, breaking her oath of fealty to lord and land.

By Knyaz Brencis's order, old Zlatna met the noose at first light, her fate held up as a warning

for all who would put defiance above duty.
