Regarding the Laboratory

In these notes to himself, Silas weighs precautions for relocating his laboratory if needed.

The current site suits him: well concealed, with more than one connection to the surface,

its only drawback the endless requirement for lamplight. What prompts the thought is the loud crone next door,

who seems increasingly suspicious of his undertakings. He resolves to ready an escape plan,

having already hidden away his notes and blocked the cellar entrance using a stout bookshelf.
