Report on Unknown Vrakhir

Sergeant Stefen writes again about alarming reports of an unidentified vrakhir stalking Svartrau's streets —

no longer dismissible as gossip, though it beggars belief the Knyaz could overlook another of his own kind

at work in the city. His best man Nish, an uriash whose word he trusts, saw an unfamiliar woman

lurking in shadows and trailing him at night. Now Nish is missing, last seen patrolling near

the north-eastern city wall. Stefen asks leave to head back to Svartrau and search at once: no man left behind,

even if not really men.
