Report on the Blood Guard

This report warns that Blood Guard discipline keeps deteriorating: members grow volatile

and openly hostile to the other garrison troops. Since Boyaress Xanthe's death, their 'needs'

cannot be met, and without proper sustenance their behaviour will worsen. The writer respectfully urges

the knyaz to step in — perhaps by turning some dungeon wretch and draining the resulting vrakhir,

or using the traitor from Laslea, if he can be captured.
