Tired of constant visitors asking for wisdom, boil cures or shelter from storms, the tower owner hatched a plan inspired by Marcellus Sidetes's writings on the lykanthropos, men who become wolves.
Reasoning that a valley believing in mountain goatmen would believe in werewolves too, he procured a wolf skin, donned it, and ran howling around the tower on chosen nights, letting stray visitors glimpse the 'monster' of what would become the Wolf Tower.
The trick worked: nobody comes by anymore, and he finally has the solitude he always wanted.
