Greataxe

The Greataxe has no patience for subtlety: where a sensible axe carries one blade, this weapon carries two, and each of its two swings hits for 30 damage — a full combo of 58 delivered in just two hits. It is slow, heavy, and among the hardest-hitting common melee weapons available.

That simplicity translates into excellent test numbers. The Greataxe measured roughly 353 damage per second with a jump cancel and Lightning Surge, securing an A tier placement. Its 1,150 knockback is enormous, reliably launching enemies, and 48 stagger keeps them interrupted. The two-hit combo means there is little room for error — you commit to each swing — but the payoff per hit is among the best in its class.

You can find the Greataxe in Singer's Meadow, Humbler Huskland, and Ravines.

It fits Fighter and Support builds that want maximum damage per swing and don't mind a deliberate pace; mastering jump-cancelling unlocks its best output. Through enchanting, effects that reward big individual hits suit it well. For a comparable heavy option with wider crowd coverage, the Greatsword is its closest rival, while the Emerald Hammer trades some damage for loot luck and chaining utility.
