Scenario details

Unite the Huns and challenge the powers surrounding the Roman world. Mission order and scenario notes: 1. The Scourge of God — Start with Attila alone and decide how to remove Bleda from power. Once the Huns join you, defeat two rival factions; diplomacy with the Scythians can add a strong ally 2. The Great Ride — Use fast cavalry to raid several lightly defended settlements for supplies, then establish a forward base and build an army before challenging the Roman fort 3. The Walls of Constantinople — Threaten Roman settlements and trade routes to force tribute. The massive walls of Constantinople are a distraction: focus on reaching the gold target 4. A Barbarian Betrothal — Reunite scattered Hun villagers, build up a base, and fight through Frankish territory. Burgundy can be turned into an ally by meeting its demands before confronting the Roman reinforcements 5. The Catalaunian Fields — A large death-match-style battle begins with strong enemies across a river. Establish a defended economy quickly, then use the crossings and allied Ostrogoths to break the coalition 6. The Fall of Rome — Conquer four northern Italian cities while defending your base from coordinated counterattacks. Leave Rome standing; after the other cities fall, escort Attila to the Pope Use the named objectives, starting setup, and mission order in this entry to distinguish it from the standard skirmish rules.
