Overview

Slash and Burn is a Legendary-difficulty scenario with choices that shape the next missions. Select the faction bonuses for the army you plan to use, and choose an alliance with the later campaign in mind.

Plan and execution

Before committing, compare the Quimbaya option, which adds strong Pikemen and Castle production, with the Guayupe option, which provides Plumed Archers. Choose Quimbaya when the campaign needs a durable infantry screen and local production; prefer Guayupe when mobile ranged support better fits the coming fights. Make the alliance choice between Quemuenchatocha and Nemequene deliberately, since it carries into the next three scenarios.

Risks and adaptation

These decisions have effects beyond the current battle. Do not choose based only on the first skirmish; consider whether the following missions will reward infantry, ranged mobility, or a different diplomatic route.
