The Battle of Stamford Bridge escalates in phases. Remove the Raiders early so foraging can continue, then convert the reinforcements and fortified base into a defense against Harold and Eadwin.
Plan and execution
Research key Blacksmith technologies and train Varangian Guards to clear the initial Raiders. Use the returning Jarls and Berserks to reinforce the base, then prepare against Harold’s increasingly strong waves. Watch the eastern front when Eadwin attacks Tostig’s camp, and send a mobile force to prevent that position becoming a second threat. Expand production and fortifications between waves instead of waiting for the final attack.
Risks and adaptation
The Raiders return later, so clearing their first force does not end the threat. Harold’s waves grow stronger; keep reinforcements and resource gathering active after each successful defense.
