Overview

Tiger Cavalry are fast mounted attackers with strong pressure against archers and land siege. Their kill-triggered veterancy rewards finishing isolated targets before the opponent can regroup.

Plan and execution

Use scouting or a second unit line to locate archers, then approach from a flank and focus one target group at a time. Follow retreating ranged troops only while the route remains safe, and use the cavalry to remove exposed siege when the enemy screen has moved away.

Risks and adaptation

Spearmen and other anti-cavalry units can stop the pursuit, and prolonged combat against a prepared frontline wastes the unit’s mobility. Do not trade the Tiger Cavalry into a defended choke when a flank is available.
