The Emperor’s Revenge ally-choice fortification
Your brother’s command style changes how the allied army behaves: Esteban advances proactively, while Melias tends to occupy forts after they are cleared. Whichever you choose, the player must secure both starting settlements and establish Castillo coverage along the river approaches before relying on the ally’s attacks. (The Emperor’s Revenge)

Resumen
Your brother’s command style changes how the allied army behaves: Esteban advances proactively, while Melias tends to occupy forts after they are cleared. Whichever you choose, the player must secure both starting settlements and establish Castillo coverage along the river approaches before relying on the ally’s attacks. (The Emperor’s Revenge)
Plan and execution
Expand east of the starting base with a second Centro urbano near piedra, then place one Castillo northwest of your asentamiento and another to protect the ally’s position. Research defensive upgrades and establish Iglesia fortificadaes in nearby villages to extend the protected area. Choose Esteban if you want an ally to ataque without waiting for captured forts, or Melias if holding cleared ground is more useful. Rescue wounded unidades and convert or defeat enemy generals as your army reaches their positions. (Centro urbano, piedra, Castillo, Esteban, Melias)
Risks and adaptation
The chosen ally does not automatically protect both settlements, and either base can be pressured from the river. If piedra income falls behind, Castillo coverage and repairs become difficult. Fortaleza workers safe, maintain a reserve for threatened approaches, and adapt your army plan to whether the ally is attacking or consolidating. (asentamiento, fortaleza, piedra, Castillo)
