Overview

The Emperor’s Revenge gives a choice between an ally that launches proactive attacks and one that captures cleared forts. Defend both starting bases first, then build Castles on the river approaches and use the chosen ally’s behavior.

Plan and execution

Build a second Town Center east of the starting base near the stone and place one Castle northwest of the player’s base and another by the ally. Research defensive upgrades, then construct Fortified Churches in nearby villages to extend the protected line. Choose Stephan when you want an ally that sends troops forward, or Mleh when you expect him to occupy cleared forts.

Risks and adaptation

The ally choice affects how the front expands. Do not assume either ally will cover your base; protect both settlement approaches and keep stone income steady for the Castle network.
