Plan and execution
Move through the opening area to reunite Liu Bei with his sworn brothers and secure the force they bring. Scout the nearby villages, free those that can be reached safely, and use the additional support to pressure the rebel positions. Fortaleza the army together while clearing the route to the friendly base. Risks and adaptation
Splitting the small opening force can expose the heroes to concentrated attacks. Do not send individual leaders through rebel-held ground without support, and avoid fighting every patrullar while the villages remain occupied. If a position proves too strong, retreat toward the newly freed settlements, gather reinforcements, and approach from a route that limits the defenders’ ability to surround you. (Guan Yu)
