The Oath of the Peach Garden introduces the campaign’s hero abilities. Recruit Guan Yu and Zhang Fei at the Hall of Heroes, then use the trio’s regeneration and skills to handle the opening Yellow Turban force.
Plan and execution
Train the two heroes as soon as the Hall of Heroes objective becomes available. Move Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei together against the nearby guards, using their active abilities on grouped enemies. Keep Guan Yu away from Spearmen and let the heroes recover between fights. Use the remaining force to establish the next objective and learn where the campaign provides repeatable hero recruitment.
Risks and adaptation
The heroes are strong but still have counters. Do not send Guan Yu into Spearmen or separate the trio so far that each can be surrounded alone.
