How to Start

Every Dog Has Her Day starts the moment you find any Mysterious Dog — they're marked by a paw print icon when Dylan gets near, and the first encounter adds the quest to your log. There's no fixed order; you can do the dogs in whatever order you find them.

Walkthrough

There are 8 dog encounters: one in each of the 7 zones, plus a final one in The Gap. Each dog wants her plush toy — a small blue dragon — which is always sitting somewhere in the immediate vicinity. Bring the toy back to the dog and interact with her. Once she's happy, you can pet her.

After all 7 zone dogs are done, hold down on the D-pad to visit The Gap and interact with the dog there one more time to unlock Dog's Best Friend and finish the quest.

All 8 Dog Locations

Dog 1 – Downtown. In the south-west corner of Downtown, on a roof. The toy is on the next roof to the left of the dog.

Dog 2 – Central. On a rooftop in the east of Central. The toy is at the end of the alley below the dog, in the direction the dog is facing.

Dog 3 – West Incursion Zone. In the north-west corner, on a roof reached with the Shift ability (from Jesse Sightings: The Incursion Fault). The toy is on the next roof over, where the dog is looking.

Dog 4 – Evacuation Zone. North of the zone, on a rooftop. The toy is on the roof directly above the dog — an upside-down roof. Use Shift to latch onto that roof, grab the toy, then Shift back down to the dog.

Dog 5 – The Park. In the north-east corner of The Park. The toy is behind the dog on a roof with a yellow lift platform. Carry electricity from the Power Core Station (marked on the map, slightly west of the dog) to the lift — the charge won't survive a direct run, so stash it in a power box on the roof midway (go through the roof doors to find the power cubes), then carry it from there to the lift.

Dog 6 – Underpass. On a platform between the "Halfway Trail" fast travel door and the "Research Site" area. Getting around needs heavy Shift-gravity use plus Reach (from Jesse Sightings: The Subway Fault) for the grapple points. The toy is directly above the dog on the opposite-gravity floor: find the pillar with orange pipes and a white radiator, jump from the radiator to the ceiling, and use Shift to reach the toy. Jump toward the dog and drop the toy (press square) so the opposite gravity carries it up to her, then use Reach on the area's side ledge to get back up and pick it up.

Dog 7 – The Unknown. On the north-west island (requires Pope's Research to reach). This toy is much farther away than the others — it's on the skyscraper the dog is facing, near the top. Use Shift gravity on the neighboring building, walk up its side, and jump across near the top.

Dog 8 – The Gap. After all 7 zone dogs are done, visit The Gap and interact with the dog there to finish the quest.
