Current-round refund rule
The CS2 Buy Menu identifies weapons bought during the current round that remain eligible for a refund. The Wiki describes the condition as a purchase the player has not yet used. When eligible, refunding reverses that match purchase and restores its cost to the player’s round funds. Check the current purchase list and its available controls; the source does not define a broader right to return used items or purchases from an earlier round.
This feature corrects a buy-menu selection. It does not retrieve a dropped weapon, transfer equipment to a teammate, or reverse a weapon finish or Steam Community Market transaction. See Buy Menu for purchasing, Economy for round money and Weapon Skins for cosmetic inventory.
Refund All updates
CS2 added the “Refund All” button on February 6, 2024. On May 23, 2024, an update fixed a bug where the bulk button refunded only one eligible Flashbang. The dates describe the control’s addition and a later reliability fix; neither changes the documented current-round, unused-purchase condition.
When to use it
If you select the wrong eligible weapon, check the current-round purchase list and refund it before treating that money as available for a replacement. Confirm the balance in the menu. Dropping a gun leaves it on the map for a teammate; refunding removes an eligible purchase from the buyer’s round plan and returns money.
