Model & identity
The Stiletto Knife is one of the knife models in the CS2 inventory. A slim knife with a long, pointed blade and narrow profile. The elongated point gives it a recognizable silhouette among folding knives. The chosen finish is an inventory cosmetic and does not improve weapon performance. The player sees the selected model when holding and inspecting the knife; other players can also see its equipped appearance in match situations where the model is visible.
The knife type and the weapon finish are separate parts of the item. A knife model determines the blade and handle form, while an eligible finish determines the surface pattern or color. A finish does not convert the knife into a different model, and a visually rare finish does not improve its performance.
Role in a match
The Stiletto Knife occupies the melee weapon slot and provides the standard knife actions available in CS2. Players may switch to it when they need a melee option or when moving without a firearm is appropriate under the game’s movement rules. It has no unique tactical ability tied to this cosmetic model. The player must still consider nearby opponents and choose whether to keep a firearm ready.
Knife attacks are close-range actions and expose the user if an opponent has a gun ready. The equipped model does not replace positioning, movement or a team’s objective. The Stock Knife explains the default equipment; this entry describes the selected visual variant.
Finishes & inventory
Compatible finishes can change the Stiletto Knife’s visible blade or handle surfaces. The exact finish pool depends on item and container releases, so availability should be documented with the relevant CS2 Weapon Cases, Collections or update entry rather than assumed from the knife’s name.
The knife can be inspected and equipped through the CS2 inventory and loadout interface. An inspect animation presents the model but does not change its match statistics. A weapon finish or knife model is part of item customization and does not affect the AK-47, M4A4 or other firearms in the player’s inventory.
CS2 applicability
This entry covers the Stiletto Knife model in Counter-Strike 2. Its current cosmetic availability depends on the item pool and updates; no market price or case drop is treated as permanent. The visual profile described here identifies the model and separates it from the shared melee role.
Spring-loaded Italian-style profile
The Stiletto Knife is modeled as a narrow Italian-style switchblade. Its official description calls out a spring-loaded blade that deploys when the release catch is pressed; the Wiki identifies the visual reference as the Frank Beltrame 9-inch stiletto. The in-game knife’s draw and inspect sequence presents that slim, pointed blade, but does not simulate a separate spring mechanism that changes how the player attacks.
The Stiletto is cosmetic and shares the default Stock Knife performance. It supports the same slash and stab attacks as other cosmetic knife types for both teams. A kill, movement speed or reach is not improved by the switchblade silhouette.
Loadout and appearance
The Stiletto Knife is a Rare Special CS2 melee item. Equip it through the player’s inventory loadout; compatible finishes change the surface appearance while preserving the knife model and shared melee behavior. The Weapon Skins, Wear and Pattern Index entries describe those cosmetic properties.
The Wiki groups the Stiletto with the Navaja, Ursus and Talon knife family in its item history. That shared release context does not mean their models or animations are interchangeable: the Stiletto’s defining feature is its narrow blade and spring-catch styling. Compare it with the compact Navaja Knife, curved Karambit and Stock Knife.
Deploy and quick-inspect animations (August 14, 2025)
On August 14, 2025, Counter-Strike 2 improved deploy and quick-inspect animations for all knives. The patch describes a shared animation update across the knife category; it does not identify a unique pose, timing value or motion change for this individual model. The change concerns how a knife is drawn and quickly inspected in first person, rather than its attack damage, reach, movement speed or cosmetic finish. The same update separately modified the Sawed-Off and several named firearms, whose animation changes are documented on their own pages.
