Overview
Brencis may hold the title of knyaz of Vale Sangora, but in Svartrau's underworld he faces real competition. The gambling dens, the black market and the brothels are all run by a man named Andrei. He is secretive — even his own people know little of where he came from. He is sometimes seen near the Eastern Gate, beside the butcher's shop — an apt backdrop, it seems, for a man of his reputation.
