Overview

Three trees exist, and what shapes every build is not their contents but the times of day they function.

Swordmastery works in both forms

This is the spine: the only tree open to Coen in both man and vrakhir form, so points invested here never sit idle. Its techniques unlock through manuals rather than pure level, so the tree advances as quickly as you locate books and spend time reading them.

Witchcraft is the day answer

Hexes are inscribed into Coen's skin as runes, costing health to cast. The confirmed ones are Burning Blood, Compel Soul and Mercurial Fervour — the last of which pulls double duty as the day form's fast travel.

Vampiric Abilities are the night answer

These scale with rising Corruption rather than with level alone, so the night tree is tied to the feeding system rather than separate from it. Shadowstep and Planeshift provide movement, Focus covers the senses, Piercing Shriek and Charge are control, and a deeper perk lets Coen become a wolf.

Abilities, Perks and points

Abilities are active and take up a slot; Perks are passive. Both are bought with Skill Points from levelling, and the level cap reaches at least 50; respeccing exists, so early commitments are never permanent.

Most players settle on Swordmastery plus one specialization: spreading evenly across the two form-locked trees means mediocrity around the clock rather than strength for twelve hours.
