Overview
Vale Sangora contains ten regions, and each was built around a level band. The bands are not gates — nothing blocks you from wandering into the wrong one — but they reveal the order the valley expects.
Laslea Glen covers 1–3, Briar Sloughs 8–16, Maragir Wealds 10–18, St. Tyna's Grove 15–23, Svartrau City 17–25, Boar's Back 22–30, Rockfalls 24–32, The Silts 29–37, Tantari Woods 31–39, and Greifberg Castle 36–50.
The overlap is the point: at level 24, four regions sit within their band, making the ordering a difficulty hint rather than a fixed corridor.
The gap after the Prologue is the thing to notice
Laslea Glen caps at level 3, and the following band only opens at 8; nothing in the valley is tuned for levels 4 to 7.
The hours right after the Prologue are therefore deliberately spent under-levelled, which does not mean you missed anything. That is also the best practical reason to clear the Prologue's side quests first, since those ten quests offer the cheapest experience in the game.
Discovery pays more the further out you go
New-region discovery pays experience on a rising ladder: Laslea Glen gives nothing, since you begin there; Briar Sloughs and Maragir Wealds give 50; St. Tyna's Grove, Svartrau City and Boar's Back give 75; Rockfalls, The Silts and Tantari Woods give 100; Greifberg Castle gives 125.
It is a modest ladder, but it agrees with everything else: exploring somewhere new is never a mistake, since walking spends none of your time.
Svartrau City holds nearly a third of the map
Of the 5,919 markers on the valley map, 1,855 sit inside Svartrau City. Tantari Woods follows at 577, then The Silts at 557 and Briar Sloughs at 508.
Plan around that distribution. The capital is not one stop among ten but roughly three regions of content compressed into one, and treating it as one visit sells it badly short.
Eleven towers, and more than a hundred fast travel points
Each of the eleven scouting towers reveals the activities around it, and climbing all eleven requires the vrakhir form. An achievement for all eleven confirms the count.
Fast travel connects previously discovered shrines, and the valley holds more than a hundred of them. With fast travel consuming no time, an early-found shrine pays for itself for the entire run.
What the map holds besides quests
Thirty-two monster nests, twenty destroyed shrines, and fifty-four camps shared among bandits, Brencis's men and the rest — fifteen of those camps belonging to bandits. Also five pillories and five of Brencis's flags.
Watch the small round numbers: several are exactly what an achievement requires. Five flags is the complete set, and twenty destroyed shrines versus a target of five gives you generous slack.
