The writer knows the recipient ran to the guards about the earlier threat and was told to buy a sword rather than bothering them — he was there listening, unrecognised.

He demands payment for crimes against his family, insisting such sins did not die with Skender, and orders a meeting in the forest the next day with double what was asked before; then perhaps he will consider them square.
